Field Trip to MPD

The Pack took their 1st field trip to the Monroeville Police Department. They collected teddy bears and other stuff animals to donate to the dept. The officers will be able to carry the stuffed animals in their cars to give to children who've been in car accidents or some other traumatic incident.

The Scouts, with Officer White, show off a few of the stuffed animals they collected.

Evan & Thomas take a closer look at the handcuffs.

Officer Cook showed the Scouts the inside of a police car. He made a point to remind the boys that if they ever have to ride in a police car, make sure it's in the front, never in the back. He demonstrated just how uncomfortable the backseat ride can be. We also found out that Officer Cook is an Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. What a great example for the Pack!

After our tour, we had supper at McDonald's. I think everyone had a good time. I wish I had more pictures to share. A lot of them came out really blurry. Gotta love digital cameras! Hopefully I'll have more pictures to share from our upcoming meetings.
